Our Cheerleading class is designed to introduce children aged 4 to 12 to the exciting world of cheerleading. This fun and energetic class focuses on teaching the basics of cheerleading, including dance routines, arm motions, jumps, low-level stunts, cheers, chants, and games. It's a fantastic team-building activity that not only promotes physical fitness but also encourages teamwork, coordination, and self-confidence. Led by experienced instructor Hannah Goulding, your child will have a blast while learning new skills and making friends

Hannah Goulding

Hannah has been involved in group exercise for over 15 years. She has taught various forms of fitness from Aerobics, Dance, Step, Conditioning and Yoga. Hannah's role at Waterside is to launch brand new concepts and work on new projects at the club.

A kids cheerleading class teaches the basics of cheerleading, including chants, dance routines, basic stunts, and teamwork. It's designed to be fun, active, and educational.

The class is designed for children aged 4 to 12. The activities are tailored to be age-appropriate and engaging for this age group.

No prior experience is necessary. The class is structured to accommodate beginners and those with some experience.

Children should wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.

Your child should bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Children will learn basic cheerleading skills such as chants, jumps, simple stunts, dance routines, and the importance of teamwork and coordination.

Overall we encourage you to leave your child(ren) but where children require a settling in period this can be done over a few weeks reducing the amount of time the parent stays each week.

Cheerleading helps children develop physical fitness, coordination, and flexibility. It also promotes teamwork, discipline, self-confidence, and social skills.
